High-speed hot-glue labeling for foil and food-grade stock.

The Senmei SM600-HL is a hot-melt adhesive labeling machine designed for high-throughput lines — foil labels, food-grade tubes, and any application where water-glue is too slow or won't bond to the face stock. A PID-controlled melt tank holds the adhesive at the recipe temperature across long shifts, with a circulating pump feeding the applicator head.

The platform handles Ø 30–130 mm tubes with heights from 60 mm to 600 mm and label stocks from 75 gsm to 157 gsm. Wall thickness range is 0.8 mm to 2 mm. Output holds at 30–35 pieces per minute across the full height range — Senmei's standard high-speed labeler for snack and cosmetic production lines.

Working principle

How the SM600-HL runs.

Tubes are loaded into the hopper by an operator or upstream conveyor. A servo-driven pick-and-place arm transfers one tube at a time onto the indexing conveyor and into the labeling station. An optical seam sensor locates the tube seam, the hot-melt applicator head lays a controlled bead of adhesive, and the label is fed from the unwinder and pressed onto the tube with a rubber roller.

The hot-melt unit is built around a PID-controlled melting tank with a circulating pump feeding the applicator head. Recipe parameters — melt temperature, label tension, dwell time, roller pressure — are stored per stock and auto-loaded from the HMI. The control panel surfaces production count, glue consumption, and current recipe on the home screen.
