The Qingdao Senmei potato chips can production line is a focused, food-grade-integrated line for converters supplying the snack aisle. Starting from pre-formed spiral-wound paper tubes, the line cuts to length, applies the printed label, curls the bottom with a paper disc, and heat-seals the top with foil or plastic — exiting as a finished can ready for filling.

It is the right choice when the upstream body winding is sourced externally (or run on a separate spiral paper tube machine) and the goal is a dedicated snack-can output. A smaller footprint than the full composite can line, but the same Senmei engineering and recipe platform.

Engineered for snack-can throughput.

  • Inline tube cutting. Servo-driven multi-tool cutting machine trims pre-formed paper tubes to can length with ±0.5 mm accuracy — up to 8 tubes per index.
  • Multi-station labeling. Servo-indexed water-glue or hot-glue labeling station applies the printed wrap with ±0.3 mm seam alignment.
  • 360° curling station. Paper bottom disc is fed, pressed, and curled into the can rim — no metal end, paper-stream recyclable.
  • Heat-seal lidding. Aluminum membrane or snap-fit plastic lid applied inline; induction-seal option available for premium SKUs.
  • Food-grade construction. Stainless contact parts, food-grade PVA or EVA adhesive, and migration-test reports shipped per lot.
  • Central HMI. One 10-inch touchscreen runs the entire line — diameter, label stock, glue profile, disc size, and lid type recalled from recipe memory.
  • Inline reject station. Vision check detects misaligned labels, missing discs, and seal defects; rejected cans drop to a takeaway bin without stopping the line.

Working principle

How it runs.

Pre-formed paper tubes enter the cutting station, where a servo multi-blade cutter trims them to can length and ejects the finished blanks onto a takeaway conveyor. Labeling station reads the tube seam with an optical sensor and applies the printed wrap with water-based or hot-melt adhesive — alignment error below 0.3 mm.

Labeled cans index into the curling station, where a paper disc is fed from the magazine and pressed into the base. A 360° curling mold locks the disc in place — no metal end. Sealing station applies the heat-seal foil membrane or snap-fit plastic lid. Finished cans pass through the vision-check station, are counted, and exit onto a takeaway conveyor for stacking and pack-out.
