The Senmei SM520-LC is a four-station water-glue paper tube labeling machine with integrated cut-to-length. The full cycle runs on one frame: tube feeding, water-glue application, label alignment, pressing, and recutting. Labeled tubes exit the machine ready for downstream curling, sealing, and packing.

The platform handles Ø 30–160 mm tubes with heights from 300 mm to 600 mm, label alignment stays inside ±0.5 mm, and the integrated cutter produces 17 pieces per cycle with a minimum cut length of 30 mm. Water-glue is the standard adhesive — best for paper labels and food-grade applications.

Working principle

How the SM520-LC runs.

Tubes are loaded into the hopper by an operator or upstream conveyor. A servo-driven pick-and-place arm transfers one tube at a time onto the indexing conveyor. The tube passes four stations in sequence: water-glue application, label feed and alignment, pressure pressing, and integrated cutting.

The water-glue reservoir is sealed and recirculating; the applicator head is gravity-fed for even coverage. Label alignment is driven by an optical seam sensor that triggers a servo correction at the pressing station — alignment stays inside ±0.5 mm even at full line speed. Recipe parameters — glue flow, roller pressure, dwell time, cutter speed — are stored per stock and auto-loaded from the HMI.
